To realise the potential of our solutions we needed to overcome the major drawbacks of traditional network solutions: steep pricing, high energy consumption and the complexity of deployment and maintenance.

Selecting a LPWAN (low power wide area network) technology was the obvious network choice. Sigfox is the most mature LPWAN in New Zealand and the first global cellular network fully dedicated to the Internet of Things. Sigfox has built a global network to connect billions of devices to the internet, while consuming as little energy as possible, as simply as possible.
The Sigfox network currently covers ~35% of New Zealand's land area, reaching ~95% of the population. Should you find your area is not currently within coverage please contact us to discuss a range of options we have available.

Should your site be outside the current national network footprint offered by Sigfox fear not. We have available a range of localised network coverage options from mains powered to solar powered to wind powered micro repeaters. Essentially a 'plug and play' kit that easily supports >1,000 eTrap sensor devices over a tested 5km radius.
